Andy McCormick
Andy started birding in Massachusetts where he grew up and has been birding as a hobby for 40 years. He was hooked when he saw a Prairie Warbler in a blooming white dogwood tree.
His current favorite birds are shorebirds and he is an advocate for wetlands preservation. He was a member of the Conservation Committee a number of years ago and is now back as chair.
His focus will be on conservation in the Lake Washington to Cascades corridor. He writes the Bird of the Month column for the Corvid Crier and enjoys creating bird haikus.
