Conservation Chair
The Conservation Chair studies all conservation issues at the local, state and federal level, and advises and leads the Board of Directors and the general membership as to what steps we may wish to take; works with other Committee members to develop objectives and action strategies, as well as projected budgets, for the Board’s approval; supervises various conservation sub-committees regarding ongoing activities, such as nest box monitoring, wetland restoration projects, Birds in the Balance; develops position statements regarding various conservation issues, and keeps the membership apprised of Committee and National Audubon activities.
