Standing Committees and Special Projects

Eastside Audubon is an active chapter, with many volunteers heading up various committees and events.  If you would like to be a bigger part of our chapter and help influence the direction we take, please browse the volunteer positions listed below and see what interests you.  Even if the position is now filled, the chairs are often eager to have an assistant or someone to train to take over when it is time for them to step down.

Standing committee chairs have leadership roles in the chapter, but are not on the Board of Directors. They are appointed for a one-year term after which time they may seek re-appointment, apply for another position, or step down.  Committee chairs help our Eastside Audubon Chapter meet the goals as set out by our Board of Directors.

There are certain expectations of all committee chairs, regardless of position. These expectations constitute an agreement between the Chapter and each committee chair. The overriding expectation of all committee chairs is that they fully support, and work to implement, the Chapter’s mission

To find a volunteer position that interests you, review the committee descriptions below.  Then check the current openings
