Jetty Island (Everett) Field Trip (7/12/01) Highlights

It was a lovely day when 16 people birded Everett's Jetty Island, marina and Legion Park.

Everett Park Ranger, Kraig Hansen, guided us on an informative walk through the various plant and insect life that's on the island. 35 bird species were seen, and the highlights were Semipalmated Plover, Western and Least Sandpiper, adult and juvenile Spotted Sandpiper, Caspian Tern, Bonaparte's Gull, nesting Glaucous-winged Gulls, adult and young Osprey, a colony of nesting Double-crested Cormorants and Bald Eagle.
