Lake Fenwick Field Trip (2/24/03) Highlights
It was a beautiful morning for this Monday hotspots trip.
We were able to view many birds in full sunlight. The choice for the best bird was a gorgeous Red-breasted Sapsucker within 20 feet. We also saw a Brown Creeper, an elusive Townsend’s Warbler seen only by a few, Bald Eagle, Red-tailed Hawks, Ring-necked Ducks, Buffleheads, 2 Downy Woodpeckers, both Kinglets and both Chickadees, and a large flock of Bushtits.
This is a nice park with lots of birds and we should visit it more
often. There were
8 birders who sighted 30 species.
