Luther Burbank Park Field Trip (8/26/02) Highlights

It was cloudy but very comfortable day in the mid-60s.

One non-birding surprise was a harbor seal off the north end of Mercer Island.

Noteworthy sightings included Hairy Woodpecker, Black-throated Gray Warbler, female Bullock’s Oriole, Common Yellowthroat, both Black-capped and Chestnut-backed Chickadees, Bushtits and 25-30 California Gulls on one dock. There were 5 birders and 24 species sighted.
