There were 11 birders and 63 species on Saturday in pretty good weather, and in not-so-good weather on Sunday, there were an additional 8 birders and 7 new species added to the list.

The highlight of the trip on Saturday was a Gyrfalcon which was not found on Sunday.  Thousands of Snow Geese covered the skies and a number of Trumpeter Swans were also seen. Eight raptor species were seen on Saturday, including Rough-legged Hawks, Bald Eagles, and a large number of Northern Harrier.

American Kestrel, Merlin and Pergrine Falcon - together with the Gyr - made it a 4-falcon day on Saturdy.

Short-eared Owls were prevalent, 6 on Saturday and 10 on Sunday.  A number of Red-throated Loons, as well as Common Loons, were also noted. One Northern Shrike was seen on Saturday. The only shorebirds were large numbers of Dunlin and a few Black-bellied Plovers.

In all, there were 19 birders and 70 species sighted.
