Dress appropriately (rainproof in layers; some of the trails can be muddy if wet). Just inside the main entrance, take the first left into the large parking lot and meet at the northeast end. - Navaho Pass, in the North Fork Teanaway River area of Eastern Washington, is listed as one of the best bird hikes and is geared for fit, long-distance hiker-birders because it's 11 miles roundtrip. It's not a difficult hike, but the distance makes for a long day of hiking and can be tiring after 8-9 hours on the trail.
