This trip to Ohme Gardens will be an all day excursion jointly with WNPS and focus primarily on plants.  We will stop at the Swiftwater picnic area in Tumwater Canyon where we will scout for early  natives.  This site is known for its ecological diversity.  We will continue to Wenatchee and the Ohme Gardens which has a native plant area boasting 25 species, many of which are indigenous on the east side of the Cascades.  The Ohme Gardens boasts great views, natural rock and waterfalls, and magnificent views of the Columbia Valley.  A docent guide to the gardens will be provided.
Garden entry fee $7.00.  Carpool fee from Seattle to be determined (about $10-13 per person.)  Bring a picnic lunch and water, sturdy shoes and be prepared for variable spring weather.
Leaders:  Louise Kulzer and Melinda Bronsdon.  wnptripper@gmail.com bronson874@aol.com.
You must sign up in advance.  This trip is dependent on sufficient registration and willing drivers.  Advance registration by 5 PM, April 29, is required.
