It contains ponds, natural tidal marshes, and sloughs, all of which provide important resting and feeding areas in January for thousands of birds, which have arrived from their northern or interior breeding grounds. Entry fees range from $3 to $6 Canadian depending on age.  Jim will spend the night in the area and look for birds in neighboring areas on Sunday.  You may head home Saturday or spend the night as well. Birds we should see include hawks, eagles, owls, sparrows, woodpeckers and great numbers of waterfowl (swans, geese & ducks), also loons, grebes, gulls, and more.   Call Jim for more information and travel arrangements.  Each person will need an enhanced WA State driver's license or a US passport to get back into the US.  Dress appropriately and bring refreshment/money as needed.   Leave Rettig's home at 6:00 AM.  Call for directions and to reserve a spot.

Passenger cost/person $30.00.   Leader:  Jim Rettig 425-402-1833.
