Join Eastside Audubon and Sierra Club members as we view the award-winning movie, Affluenza.  While Americans make up only five percent of the world's population we use nearly a third of its resources and produce almost half of its hazardous waste. Affluenza explores the high costs of materialism, overwork, personal stress, skyrocketing debt and the erosion of family and community. The program shares how a growing number of people are opting out of the consumer chase and choosing "voluntary simplicity" instead.

Enjoy a 6:15 dinner-in-the-round with other environmentally-friendly people from both organizations (bring your own brown bag dinner; hot beverages will be provided).  On April 14, we are pleased to welcome Bev Jennings, our own Reclycer Lady, to help us understand how we can we can make our home recycling and composting efforts more effective.  She will also explore opportunities to help other organizations in the community get their act together.  Please your own recycling experiences to share.

We also welcome Sharon Aller and Amanda Godwin to show us how to get involved in the “Recycle More Neighborhood Challenge.”

Come at 6:15 to get in on everything or at 7:15 for just the movie.

Mark these future movie dates on your calendar now!
