By popular demand, the Conservation Movie Night is back.  EAS and the Sierra Club will be co-hosting a movie and discussion group on the second Monday of every month, starting on October 8.  This is a great opportunity to have a 6:30 dinner-in-the-round with other fascinating people from both organizations (bring your own brown bag dinner and beverage).  Then you can join in an informal dinner topic discussion led by one of our members.  At 7:30 you get to see an entertaining, startling, or persuasive movie, followed by a group discussion.  Movie subjects may be conservation hot topics, birds, wildlife, or the environment.

On October 8, our dinner topic/discussion will be “How to Reduce Your Carbon Footprint,” with Tim McGruder, EAS Conservation Chair, and Shannon Harps, Sierra Club Associate Regional Rep.

Our movie will be “Too Hot Not to Handle,” a highly recommended and inspiring primer on global warming, which shows how businesses, local governments, and citizens are taking positive actions to reduce global warming emissions.  Shannon will lead the post-movie discussion on how we can take part in global warming initiatives in our state.
