Thousands of shorebirds
migrate through this coastal area each year on their way to Alaskan Breeding grounds. The Grays Harbor
Shorebird Festival is May 3 and 4th. The main migratory push will be over but
we should still see numbers of
shorebirds and a very good chance for Red Knot in breeding plumage. We will
also look for migrating songbirds.
Plan for a full day of fun birding. Bring lunch, snack, drinks and dress in
layers for changeable coastal weather. Bring a scope if you have one. Meet before 7am at the north end of Wilburton Park and Ride (I-405, exit 12). Please bring cash or a check for donation of $35.00 to Eastside Audubon for Birdathon. There will be an additional passenger cost/person of $20.00 as a share of carpool costs . Call or email Kathy Andrich to register: email@example.com or 206-390-3159.
