At the foot of the Cascade Mountains, this area near North Bend offers opportunities to see warblers, flycatchers, wrens, woodpeckers, swallows, ducks, and raptors. The old red alders, second-growth conifers, black cottonwoods, wetlands, and lake may harbor some unexpected species. Bring lunch. Meet before 7:30 a.m. at the north end of Bellevue's Wilburton P&R (I-405, Exit 12). Carpool cost/passenger $5. No registration required.
