Photograph thousands of snow geese as they migrate south from the Arctic to the Skagit and California in late October and early November from the Arctic to this Westham Island bird sanctuary near Lander, B.C.  Also see pintails, wigeons, wood ducks, buffleheads, mallards, owls, raptors, herons, shorebirds, songbirds and a sandhill crane family.  Many small formations of geese fly over the refuge into the fields to the east each morning or as the tide comes in. They fly back west to the water from 3 p.m. to dusk, depending on the tides. Fall color also peaks at this time.

Remember this is a slow-paced photo trip.
