Our mission is to protect, preserve and enhance natural ecosystems and our communities for the benefit of birds, other wildlife and people. We do this in several ways:
- We work to preserve natural areas in their natural state. Ranging from cleanups to assisting with purchases to supporting land use regulation, we work to protect the pockets of habitat left in our growing community.
- We work to restore areas that have been degraded. We participate in plantings, removal of invasive plants and other restoration projects.
- We work to influence the decisions, governmental and personal, that impact the available habitat and natural areas in our community. This protects not only the birds we love, but ourselves and our quality of life here on the east side of Lake Washington and throughout our region, nation, and yes, the earth.
