Local Land Use Issues
Eastside Audubon volunteers can really make a difference in local land use issues in our community by ensuring that city and planning department officials consider impacts on birds, wildlife and natural areas in the early stages of the planning process. We can also testify at local hearings, write letters to the editor, and represent Eastside Audubon’s position on issues.
What Are Land Use Issues?
Proposed land use changes may include residential or commercial development, changes in zoning rules, tree cutting ordinances or permitting decisions. They might also include park development or open space purchases.
