Family Nature Walks

At various times throughout the year, volunteers from the Youth Education Committee take families on walks to see and identify birds and other wildlife. These events are open to the public as well as to our members. We walk at a leisurely pace, stopping to explore any natural object that captures the fancy of our participants, young and old. Check out this website, articles in local newspapers and flyers for the next family nature walk.

Forty adults and children joined John Tubbs at McCormick Park in Duvall for a fall bird walk on the Snoqualmie Valley Trail. The weather and birds cooperated with sun and the appearance of 23 different species, including a Red-tailed Hawk, Northern Harrier, Wood Duck, Yellow-rumped Warbler and a flock of Cedar Waxwings. John's expertise inspired old and young to continue birding.
