Individual Member Conservation Activities

Individual Eastside Audubon members are involved in many conservation projects that are not directly sponsored by our chapter.  We like to keep track of these so we can see what our chapter members are doing in the community and give them some recognition.

We also enjoy passing along the information so other chapter members might be inspired to jump in and help out with one of these projects, start a similar project of their own. or join a current Conservation Committee project.

Preserve Habitat

For more information on how you can help, contact Jim at jim4fish@comcast.net.
Jim also works with the city of Bellevue on land use issues, is active in the Lake Washington Watershed Salmon Watcher program and the Washington Fly Fishing Club, and heads up the Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing program for the Seattle VA Hospital.

Restore Habitat (work parties)

  • Bellefields Clean-up (Mercer Slough Nature Park) - Kay Barrett
Since 1996, we have been involved with monthly clean up at Bellefields Park. You can help us carry on this great tradition by joining a work party.  Bring gloves and a bag for litter, and your binoculars!  Contact Kay at 425-644-2862 or kfkucerab@yahoo.com for next work party date and time.
Directions: From I-405, take SE 8th Street exit, turn west. Turn left on 118th. Bellefields Trailhead is on right before crossing under I-90.
