Classroom on Wed, May 10th and Thur, May 11th with optional field trip Sat, May 13th

Birds are among the most challenging wildlife animals to photograph, yet the results can be stunning when amazing moments are captured. If you have a basic comfort level with your DLSR camera, but would like expert instruction to improve your results, this class with professional photographer Tim Boyer may be just what you need. Tim has taught shorebird identification classes for Eastside Audubon for several years and is now offering a class on bird photography for our chapter this Spring. He is an award winning nature photographer and instructor who has been been published in many bird and nature magazines, along with selling fine art prints at Pacific Northwest festivals. With 2 evening sessions and an optional day long field trip to a local park,  the class will cover topics such as mastering camera settings; composition; and field craft “how to’s”.

Classroom sessions are from 7- 9 p.m. on May 10 and 11. The field trip on the following Saturday will most likely be to a local park with a meeting time and place for carpooling to be determined later. Participants selecting the field trip option should be prepared for an early leave time with a full in Northwest Spring weather. Carpoolers are asked to contribute to their drivers at the rate of .10/mile round trip.

Classrooms are at our office located at the address below on the corner of Fourth Ave South and State St. Be sure to come to the door on the lower level next to the church’s playground on State Street.
