Late summer birding is exciting as the shorebirds begin their southward migration. We will explore the shoreline and saltwater marshes of this area, beginning at Eide Road in Stanwood to look for shorebirds and raptors. Then we’ll move on to English Boom, Utsalady, and Iverson Spit on Camano Island. We may walk in some grass which could be wet. Dress for the weather with comfortable shoes, lunch and liquids. We will aim to head back to Kirkland by 3 PM. Meet at the south end of the Kingsgate Park & Ride (13001 116th Way NE, Kirkland, WA 98034) before 7:00 a.m. People of all skill levels will enjoy this trip. Carpool cost $14 per person. Leader: Andy McCormick, 425-518-0892. No registration required.

The mission of Eastside Audubon is to protect, preserve and enhance natural ecosystems and our communities for the benefit of birds, other wildlife and people.
