EAS has a new Executive Director

Eastside Audubon would like to welcome Tereza Marks as its new Executive Director.

Ms. Marks most recently served as the Education and Association Manager for the Commercial Brokers Association.  She has been a college professor teaching biology and environmental science courses for over 20 years.  In addition, Tereza has run several local and regional nonprofit organizations; served on numerous nonprofit boards; and was a wildlife rehabilitator working primarily with birds and small mammals.

Ms. Marks has also worked with several large associations and volunteered for many environmental organizations, including serving 8 years as a sea turtle nest monitor in Florida. As an undergraduate at the University of Arizona, she specialized in ornithology and graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. She obtained her MS in Life Sciences with a focus in Environmental Toxicology at the University of Tennessee where she assisted with a research project on Great Blue Herons. Currently, she lives in Issaquah with her husband and two rescue dogs.

Stop by the office and say “hi” – or you’ll find her at Program Night, at committee meetings or on a field trip.
