George Divoky’s long- term research has gained both national and international attention on the major changes occurring in the Arctic’s ice and snow cover affecting seabirds. His presentation will cover his 43-year study on black guillemots and how climate change has affected their biological response to a melting Arctic and warming climate. Please join us for an evening of research stories and amazing pictures in the remote Arctic!

Pre-Program Night Garden Parties

Our native plant demonstration garden has been started and is now in need of some regular maintenance and care. Join me each month prior to our Program Nights, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. to pick weeds, spread mulch, water, or do whatever else our garden seems to need. Keep in mind that daylight hours might be lacking in the winter months, so bring a headlamp and appropriate gear for the weather. Then we can all go in and enjoy the Program Night knowing that our garden is in order. Please bring gloves and any tools that you enjoy using for weeding.

The mission of Eastside Audubon is to protect, preserve and enhance natural ecosystems and our communities for the benefit of birds, other wildlife and people.
