Trickster. Schemer. Omen of death. These are some of words used to describe our feelings about crows. You could probably add scavenger, trash bird, or even pest to that list.
Crows are among the smartest species in the animal kingdom. Researchers have documented their ability to solve puzzles, use tools, and identify humans by facial recognition. Those ubiquitous black birds are quite remarkable.
Eastside Audubon is proud to partner with our friends at the Environmental Rotary Club of Puget Sound for a screening of the Nature Documentary “A Murder of Crows”. In this documentary, we will visit New Zealand, Canada, Japan, Austria, and University of Washington researchers right here in the Seattle area as we learn more about these amazing animals.
The Environmental Rotary Club of Puget Sound will be taking donations at registration. Those funds will be donated to Eastside Audubon for use in our mission to protect birds, other wildlife, and nature.
This screening will be held on Saturday, October 2 from 7pm to 9:30pm.
