FIRST TIME BIRDER WALK AT JUANITA BAY PARK

  • Juanita Bay Park 2201 Market Street Kirkland United States (map)

This field trip is for the novice birder, someone with little or no birding experience. It includes a combination of instruction and field time. Trip leaders Antonio and Amanda will first cover topics such as birding etiquette, choosing and using binoculars, using field guides and birding apps, then lead the group on a birding trip through the park. This trip is a good primer before heading out on your own or joining other Audubon field trips. Bring binoculars if you have them; loaners will be available if you don't. Children aged 10+ are permitted if accompanied by a parent/guardian. The trip is free, but limited to 8 people and pre-registration is required. Contact the trip leader, Antonio Montañana at amontanana@eastsideaudubon.org to register or with questions. Meet at Juanita Bay Park, 2201 Market Street, Kirkland, WA 98033.
