FIRST-TIME BIRDER WALK AT JUANITA BAY PARK March 2022

  • Juanita Bay Park (parking lot) 2201 Market St Kirkland, WA 98033 United States (map)

Registration is required for this bird walk.

This field trip is for the novice birder, someone with little or no birding experience. It includes a combination of instruction and field time. Trip leaders Shruti and Raghav will first cover topics such as birding etiquette, bird identification, using field guides, birding apps and binoculars before heading out into the park for a bird walk. At the conclusion there will be time for Q&A. This trip is a good primer before heading out on your own or joining other Audubon field trips.

This event is not suitable for young children, children 10+ are permitted if accompanied by a parent/guardian. The trip is free but limited to 8 people. Participants must provide their own binoculars.

The following COVID-19 safety protocols apply for this bird walk:

  • All participants must be fully vaccinated.

  • This event is entirely outdoors, so masks are optional at this time.

  • Participants are required to self-assess prior to the walk and must not attend if they have any COVID related symptoms (e.g. elevated temperature) or have been in contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past two weeks.

  • The trip leaders are fully vaccinated.
