Registration is required for this event!
Lake Sammamish State Park has several different habitat types, including meadows, deciduous forest, wetlands and waterfront, making it a great place to see a variety of birds and plants. Thanks to ongoing work to remove invasive plant species, the value of the habitat for birds and fish in Issaquah Creek is growing. We will take a morning walk to look for birds and identify the native plants that feed and shelter them. It will be co-led by Eastside Audubon and Sammamish Stewards.
The walk will start at 8:00 a.m. and last approximately 2 hours. We’ll meet at the park’s rotunda picnic shelter, which is next to the first parking lot on the left. It will take place rain or shine. Wear clothes and shoes for possibly wet conditions and bring binoculars (optional, but very helpful for seeing birds). A Washington State Park Discover Pass is required.
The walk is limited to 20 people and registration is required, click the “Register” button below. Contact co-leader Lori Danielson at lddanielson@gmail.com if you have questions
