Join us for an inspiring evening, where we will learn about the Snoqualmie Tribe Ancestral Lands Movement and how they are bringing awareness to preserving their ancestral homelands. This event is not only an opportunity to learn about indigenous rights and the impact of recreation on the environment but also a reminder of our duty to be mindful of our impact on the environment when engaging in recreational activities.
At this event, we will hear from a small yet mighty team of tribal employees, led by Jaime Martin as Executive Director of Gov. Affairs and Special Projects (GASP), Michael Ross as Gov. Affairs Coordinator, Amber Holloway as GASP Coordinator, Steven Moses as Director of Archeology and Historic Preservation, Josh Fackrell as GIS Analyst, and Sabeqwa de los Angeles as Communication Assistant. As Snoqualmie Tribal Members and Tribal government employees, they work to bring awareness to how the increasing levels of recreation are impacting the native plants and wildlife in their ancestral homelands.
This session will be conducted on Zoom and will be open for registration on April 1st.
