Join us for a First-Time Birder Walk at Juanita Bay Park!
This field trip is for the novice birder, someone with little or no birding experience. It’s a good primer before heading out on your own or joining other Audubon field trips and includes a combination of instruction and field time. Trip leaders will cover topics such as birding etiquette, using binoculars for birding, bird identification, field guides, birding apps interspersed with a birding walk around the park to see what birds are there. At the conclusion there will be time for Q&A. If participants don’t own binoculars loaner binoculars will be made available.
Registration is required for this event. This event is not suitable for young children, children 12+ are permitted only if accompanied by a parent/guardian. The event is free but limited to 6 people. Due to limited space please register only if you are a novice birder and can commit to attending for the full 3 hours.
