Meet Our New Board Members!
Jeremy Lucas - Conservation Chair
Jeremy grew up in Tacoma, WA and Houston, TX. Though he has always been interested in basic environmental stewardship (pick up your trash, treat animals right, be a good human), it wasn't until he took a college level Oceanography class that he got interested in more complex environmental issues. Jeremy has served on the Conservation Committee since 2018, where he has been consistently impressed what Eastside Audubon has been able to accomplish with the community of volunteers and members. He is excited to grow into his role as Conservation Chair. He currently works as the Licensing Manager for Bing Maps. In his free time, Jeremy enjoys hiking, canoeing, paddle boarding, sports (go Seahawks! go Mariners!) and binge watching television series. He lives in Bellevue with his fiancée, future step son, and what one vet has described as "the biggest cat" she has ever seen.
Shane Crawford - Community Outreach Chair
Shane currently works at Edmonds Community College as a Student Engagement Coordinator. Shane's interested in working with environmental non-profits in a career focused on outreach and communications, he's working towards this goal by volunteering with several non-profits. Besides work, Shane is a musician who plays in a band around the Seattle area. He enjoys being outdoors in sunshine, rain, or snow, and can be found in various state and national parks from February til October. Shane graduated from Western Washington University, with a degree in Environmental Studies and Communications, in 2017.
