Green Tip of the Month

Eastside Audubon’s Green Tip of the Month for September 2024

Written by Jeannine Sielinski

Want more joy with the satisfaction of helping restore habitat, volunteering and/or adding some native plants to your yard?  Here are some opportunities to check out on our website:

  • Volunteer with us at Marymoor Park on the first Saturday of every month from 9:00 to noon.   You will participate by planting native trees and plants or removing invasive species.  EAS provides everything you need but do bring water and a snack.

Get ready for the biggest booth event of the year! Mark your calendars for Saturday and Sunday, October 5th and 6th, and come be a part of the fun and excitement at the 55th Annual Salmon Days Festival in Issaquah! 🐟🌟

This is a crucial and fun event for EAS, and we need your help to make it a success. We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist with our booth, as well as with setup and takedown.

Sign-up list coming soon! Stay tuned!

  • Need more native shrubs and birds in your yard? Plants for Birds giveaway is on November 9th at Marymoor Park.  Sign-up list (up to 5 plants per family) coming soon! Stay tuned!
