Public Relations Volunteer

Help share our mission and engage the community!

Objective:

As a Public Relations Volunteer, you will help promote Eastside Audubon’s mission by crafting compelling communications, engaging with media, and increasing our visibility within the community. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys writing, media relations, and storytelling.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Eastside Audubon Communications Chair to develop strategy.

  • Develop press releases, articles, and social media content to promote our events and initiatives.

  • Assist in managing relationships with local media outlets and community partners.

  • Support the creation of marketing materials, including flyers, newsletters, and website updates.

  • Help coordinate outreach efforts to increase awareness of Eastside Audubon’s programs.

  • Track media coverage and engagement metrics to assess outreach effectiveness.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Passion for conservation and environmental education.

Time Commitment

Flexible; approximately 2–5 hours per month, depending on events and outreach needs.

Location:

Remote or in-person, depending on the task.
